Groff's Automotive is dedicated to providing Colorado Springs with exceptional auto care, done right the first time.
Groff’s story began in 1956, with a small full-service gas station in the Security/Widefield area of Colorado Springs, near the corner of Main Street where Walgreens stands today. What started as a neighborhood gas station grew alongside the community and alongside the Groff family.
The family’s Colorado roots began with “Pappy” Groff, born in 1909. His son David eventually took the reins, carrying the family business forward until his retirement in 2001, when he passed the shop on to his youngest son, Brian. Through three generations, Groff’s grew from that little gas station into the full-service automotive repair shop our community knows today.
Then, in July 2025, the Groff’s story entered a new chapter.
Brian entrusted the business to his friend and business partner, Cody Carter. Cody and the Carter family stepped in not to replace what the Groff family had built, but to carry it forward.
Today, we’re proud to continue nearly 70 years of serving this community with the same values Groff’s was built on: family, relationships, honest work, and taking care of people. Our shop may have grown and changed since 1956, but the heart of it hasn’t. Our ASE Certified technicians continue to provide quality repairs using parts that meet or exceed manufacturer's standards, and we remain committed to doing the job right the first time.
